Don & Stacey Brower
Serving in Chile
The Brower family serves at Refugio Comunidad Cristiana in Valdivia, southern Chile. Since its first service in 2018, the church’s mission has been to glorify God through worship, biblical preaching, faithful Christian living, evangelism, and missions. Don began as assistant pastor and translator and became full-time pastor in 2021.
Refugio focuses on equipping believers for ministry and reaching the Valdivia region with the gospel. Its name, meaning “Refuge,” reflects the desire for people to know and trust God as their source of strength and help (Psalm 46:1).
The church also actively serves vulnerable children. With state permission, members regularly visit two local orphanages through a program called “Día en la Residencia,” offering Bible lessons, activities, academic help, and care. They also lead the Familia Real program in Valdivia, organizing camps and monthly clubs for children ages 6–12 who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
