Liberia Scholarships
Be a part of something big – even our little is much in His hands.
You can make a real difference in a life by covering all or part of the school fees for a child. Tuitions, along with other costs of living, are increasing in Liberia. Pre-K through 8th grade registration and tuition per semester is $100 to $135; High School $145-150 per semester; and University or College $450 per semester.
Contact Kathi Fox, (209) 928-1509, if you have any questions or want more contact with a particular child. To contribute, simply designate your gift for Liberia Scholarships, and 100% will be used for this purpose; checks can be written to Calvary Chapel with “Liberia Scholarships” in the memo line. Consider weekly, biweekly, or monthly regular giving to the scholarship fund, or watch for the twice-a-year scholarship drives.
Patience Floe—Life Story (written at completion of 4th grade)
I am Patience B. Floe, a single-parent child, born October 15, 2003 in Karn-malo town, District #2B, Grand Bassa County. My mother is Musu Boe, and I don’t know my father, who is deceased. I am presently living with Pastor and Mrs. G. Moses Floe, Sr. in Rock Hill Community, Paynesville, Liberia. I attend the Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Rock Hill and the Solid Rock Christian School, a Ministry of Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Rock Hill.
I am benefitting from the scholarship ministry being sponsored by Calvary Chapel Sonora, California, USA. I started benefitting from this scholarship when I came to live with my Guardian and starting in the 2013/2014 academic year. At that time, I was just a beginner student. Praise God for Calvary Chapel Sonora, USA, for sponsoring me. [update: Patience is now attending 7th grade for 2020-2021.]
I am very much grateful to Calvary Chapel Sonora, USA, that your financial aid to us in Liberia is not in vain. It is because of your continued support that makes me to be where I am. My hope is that Calvary Chapel Sonora, USA, continues their financial support to Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Rock Hill in order for us the children of Liberia to continue our education. I also hope that our other friends who are not benefitting now be incorporated and benefit.
My dream is to become a nurse after my graduation from high school because where I hail from there is no clinic in that particular environment. Because of this, the rate of maternal and young child death is higher.
